ResNexus Doesn't Charge Additional Per-Booking Fees

ResNexus doesn’t charge reservation fees for bookings from our online booking engine or for over-the-phone reservations taken by your staff. Commission-free direct bookings save your business money. The ResNexus PLUS editions do not charge any additional OTA commission fees on bookings from Airbnb, Booking.com, Hipcamp, and more.

Campspot's pricing model is similar to other OTAs, meaning that they charge your campground for every booking—$3 for each direct online or phone reservation. This means that the more online and phone bookings your campground gets, the more commissions you have to pay. In addition, Campspot charges a 10% commission on booked reservations through their online marketplace (OTA), plus a standard 2.5% credit card processing fee which the business is responsible for paying.

ResNexus makes sure that your online booking engine matches your current website. ResNexus email marketing tools help encourage campers to return again and book direct.

Guests who book through Campspot.com will be added to their email funnel and encouraged to book again through Campspot's OTA–which shows your park next to your competitors and has higher fees.

Keep more control over your guest information

ResNexus is a PMS system, not an OTA marketplace. Campspot is both. Campspot allows customization of their booking engine to look like your website. However, if you choose to be listed on Campspot's OTA, the Campspot standard branding is what is shown on the OTA listing. The Campspot directory shows your competitors and collects the guest information so that the Campspot OTA directory can market to your campers in the future. Often, this means they are advertising new locations for the camper to stay at.

ResNexus showcases your sites beautifully, with thumbnail pictures that are almost twice the size of the default thumbnail pictures found on Campspot.

Campspot's thumbnail pictures are smaller than the thumbnail pictures on ResNexus. Both ResNexus and Campspot let the customer click on an additional link to view larger pictures.

We bring innovations, integrations, and solutions from multiple hospitality industries to your campground. At ResNexus, elevating your business and helping it grow is our passion, and has been since 2004.

Campspot

Channel Manager Integrations

ResNexus connects directly to major OTAs like Booking.com, Airbnb, Expedia, and Vrbo without using iCal, reducing double bookings. It also has direct connections to campground OTAs such as Spot2Nite, Hipcamp, Glamping Hub, the dyrt and offers commission-free pricing. This means that your business has zero additional commission fees charged by your PMS software.

Campspot integrates with Booking.com, Airbnb, and Vrbo through 3rd party integration companies (DerbySoft or BnBerry). This means you may have to work with more support teams from different companies to resolve any issues that might arise. In addition, each company charges its own fees for their services. Campspot charges a $3 per booking fee for reservations that come through the OTAs. Campspot integrates directly with Spot2Nite but not any other campground specific OTA.

ResNexus is a Preferred Partner with both Airbnb and Expedia.

ResNexus achieved Preferred Partner status with both Airbnb and Expedia for building and maintaining a quality integration with these world-class marketing channels. This means ResNexus offers powerful features and capabilities built into the PMS system from these providers. For example, we allow you to message and review your Airbnb guests from within ResNexus.

Campspot

Campspot integrates with Airbnb but not with Expedia. Campspot has not achieved Preferred Parter status with either.
